Faced with their toughest conference opponent yet this season, the Berry men were up to the challenge as Drayton Matus / Bohdan Higley played one of their best matches to day, starting strong and finish the set 8-2. Due to injuries on the team, third doubles was replaced by Nico Koch / Jace Goode who found a tough opponent, eventually losing 0-8. Noah Koch / Diego Lopez at first doubles were up an early break of serve but were unable to maintain their momentum, losing 5-8.

With a 2-1 match deficit from doubles, Diego Lopez at second singles was intent on righting that score by fighting through one of the closes matches of this meet, winning 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (10-4). However, the Sewanee men put their foot down and began to pull away, with Noah Koch losing 4-6, 4-6 at first singles then followed by Carsten Balao 2-6, 2-6 at sixth singles. Drayton Matus at third singles began a comeback late in the second set but was thwarted 3-6, 4-6. Aiden Benoualid at fifth singles was also feeling the opponent's pressure, losing 4-6, 2-6.

Despite a 2-7 match loss to Sewanee, the Berry men were able to reach their ceiling and to showcase what they can produce and will look to maintain and improve on their form heading into tomorrow's match versus Centre College.
