MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Junior Ashley Young of Berry Swim and Dive has been named the Southern Athletic Association Swimmer of the Week.

Young was the star at Emmanuel for the Vikings as she claimed the new fastest time in the conference in the breaststroke split in the 200 medley (31.20) and in the 200 breaststroke (2:29.95).

Young was a strong competitor in the 200 IM with the second fastest time in the SAA at 2:14.47. She had first place finishes against Converse in the 200 Free, Montevallo and Emmanuel in the 200 yard Breaststroke, and Montevallo and Converse during the 200 yard IM.

Ashley and the team will compete at home this weekend in their annual Blue vs White event.
