Swimming Faces Tough Challenge at Emmanuel Invite

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Berry College men's and women's swim team continued their season at the Emmanuel Invite. The meet was scored in a special format as all teams competed against each other but each team was scored in a dual meet format with the men taking on Emmanuel, Montevallo and Converse meanwhile the women took on Emmanuel, Montevallo, Converse, UNC Pembroke and Brenau. The men lost each of their dual matchups while the women went 1-4 narrowly defeating Converse 129-128. 

The men were led by a third place finish in the 200 medley relay and Nick Fonzo who finished second in the 100 back and third in the 200 back

Ashley Young led the women with a third place finish in the 200 IM.

After the meet Head Coach Zach Healy gave his thoughts, "I'm really happy with how the season has started, and I believe both of our teams are in a great mental space moving forward. We've had tough competition over the past two weeks, and we're excited to see what we can do against Sewannee, and Montevallo over the next few weeks!"
