Box Score After falling in each doubles match, Berry needed to win five of six singles matches to defeat Millsaps in Southern Athletic Association men's tennis action Sunday at the Rome Tennis Center.
And they did.
Aiden Benoualid had the clinching point at No. 5 singles as the Vikings rallied for a 5-4 win over Millsaps on Senior Day, with Berry taking five of the six singles matches to earn the win.
Noah Koch won a battle at No. 1 singles, winning in straight sets, taking both in a tiebreak.
Jace Goode got a late break in the second set to take No. 3 singles.
Jake Chapman would win in straight sets at No. 4, and then
Kyle Lutian won at No. 6 singles, dropping just four games in the match.
That set the stage for Benoualid. Pushed to a tiebreaker, the freshman got the mini-break and held on to win the breaker 7-4 and the set, 7-6.
The Vikings will be back in action Friday at home against Oglethorpe.
