DEMOREST, Ga. — The Berry College women's soccer team fell to 1-2-1 on the year on Wednesday night, dropping a road contest to Piedmont College with a 2-0 final.
Alyssa Stevens took over at keeper in the second half, notching three saves to hold the Lions to a pair of first half goals.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Veronic Cappas scored in the 13th to put Piedmont on top 1-0 after a pass was deflected off Izzy Van Buren.
- Piedmont then scored off a header from Jazmin Penado in the 30th minute, pushing the score to 2-0.
- The Vikings stuck with the Lions in the first half in terms of shots (6), but was only able to shoot three times in the second half.
