MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The SAA has announced this year's all-conference selections, with the Vikings tabbing six of the SAA's finest on the field, headlined by an All-SAA Second Team selection for sophomore Giselle Aitken.
Aitken finished the season with 6 goals and 2 assists for a total of 14 points in 877 minutes of action to lead the Vikings attack this season. The Marietta, Georgia, native's best game came in a win against Millsaps when she scored 2 goals and 1 assist for a total of 5 points. She also poured in two goals earlier in the season in a win against LaGrange on her way to her first All-SAA honor of her young career.
A host of Vikings earned All-SAA Honorable Mention, with outstanding defenders like senior center back Maddie Owen, sophomore defender Olivia Bryan, and sophomore goalie Kate Hill making their way to the list. Owen and Bryan both served as key pieces of the Viking defensive line, creating havoc and holding strong against opposing offenses throughout the season. Hill proved to be a tremendous addition in-goal for the Vikings this season, rattling off a total of 70 saves to anchor the Viking defense.
Rounding out the All-SAA selections for the second year in a row are senior midfielder Teresa Rodriguez and senior attacking midfielder Nicole Knight. Rodriguez was second only to Aitken with 5 goals and 2 assists for a total of 12 points on the season. Knight closes out a tremendous career as a Viking with an SAA Honorable Mention supported by 4 goals and 2 assists for 10 total points.
Caroline Crimi earned SAA All-Sportsmanship honors for her competitiveness, zeal, and spirit throughout the season for the Vikings.
