MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Addy Cronan, Beata Brock, Arlena Joyner, Ansley Rushing and Samantha Schoppy each tallied once, as the Berry College women's soccer team bested Hendrix College, 5-0, on Friday afternoon to claim their first Southern Athletic Association victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The game was tied, 0-0, until the 62nd minute when Schoppy headed the ball into the back of the net, following a corner kick into the box from Emily Nixon.
• Cronan then pushed the lead to, 2-0, with a tally in the 64th minute.
• Scoring one goal apiece in the final five minutes, Rushing, Brock and Joyner ensured the Berry victory.

BERRY STATISTICAL STANDOUTS:

• Cronan: 6 shots, 4 shots on goal, 1 goal
• Rushing: 3 shots, 1 shot on goal, 1 goal, 1 assist
• Schoppy: 3 shots, 2 shots on goal, 1 goal

NOTABLES:

• The Vikings improve to 6-5 overall and 1-2 in the SAA.
• The Warriors fall to 9-4 and 1-2.
