Sewanee Picks Up Sweep of Vikings Thursday

Berry's men's tennis team was swept 9-0 by Sewanee Thursday afternoon at Richards Tennis Courts on the Berry campus.

Sewanee won all six singles matches in straight sets. Jonathan Surls pushed Sewanee's Aaron Cotton in the second position, but fell 6-1, 7-6. That was as close as the Vikings, who were playing in their third match in as many days, would come to winning a set.

Berry's No. 3 doubles team of Jake Pullen and Kyle Stapleton narrowly dropped their match against Grant Hopkins and Trapp Tubbs 9-7.

The Vikings will take a couple days off before hosting Huntingdon in Berry's season finale Sunday at 1 p.m.
