Box Score MACON, Ga. -- Five different players scored goals as Berry College cruised to a 5-1 win at Wesleyan College on Wednesday night. Sara Dillon led the way for the Vikings, with one goal and two assists.
Dillon assisted Rachel LeRoy in the 19th minute to open the scoring. In the 24th minute, Molly Johnson recorded an unassisted goal. In the 32nd minute Dillon scored off an assist from Lindsey Williams.
Wesleyan's Jessica Suarez scored to break the BC scoring spree in the 42nd minute. Berry led, 4-1, at halftime.
Williams netted the second half's lone goal in the 52nd minute off a pass from Mallory Campbell.
"We played everyone who was healthy on the roster," said Berry Head Coach Lorenzo Canalis. "At one point, we had all seven healthy freshmen on the field at the same time. We created multiple chances, especially in the first half. This was a solid performance, with very good ball movement in the back and the middle third of the field."
Blair Shupenko made one save for the visitors. Abby Stephens stopped 16 Vikings shots for Wesleyan.
Berry, which snapped a nine match winless streak, improved to 3-9-2 and Wesleyan dropped to 0-16. The Vikings led in shots 42-2.
Berry hosts Oglethorpe on Saturday at 3 p.m. It's men's and women's Senior Day prior to the women's match.
