SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Men's Outdoor Track and Field team finished second in the 2025 SAA Championships.
The team finished with 202 points, behind Centre with 255. This ends the men's three-year streak as SAA Champions - as streak that is tied with Rhodes for the longest consecutive streak in the SAA.
Head Coach Luke Syverson is "Proud of the senior men for what they have accomplished over the last four years.
The distance group had a great weekend and led the way in total points followed by the throws."
63 of the Vikings points came from Distance events. Starting out with the 5K this morning,
Tucker Wright took second (15:13.79) and
Troy Blackwood went fourth at 15:30.79 to accumulate a total of 13 points for the squad.
Four Vikings scored points in the 1500m with T Harris leading the way in third (4:01.25).
Ethan Smith,
Peter Ivester, and Wright went 5-6-7.
Freshman,
Andy Forsyth had eight points with his second-place finish in the 800m with a time of 1:58.06. Another freshman,
Corbin Dutcher had points in the 400m with his sixth-place finish as the only Viking to run the race (50.97).
In the sprints, the men's 4x100 team consisting of
Josh Rogers,
Jahari Jones,
Dylan Davis, and
Jaden Melville claimed the first team All-SAA honors at the top of the podium with their time of 41.62.
Senior
Marcus Wilson had a top three finish at third in the 110m Hurdles (15.56). He also went fourth in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 56.49.
Jones captured the title in the 100m with
Jaden Melville in second (at a lifetime PR of 10.94) and
Josh Rogers placing seventh to all earn points for Berry. Jahari did it again in the 200m defeating all opponents with his time of 21.47 and Melville in third with another lifetime PR at 22.11.

Caleb Pritchett,
Andy Forsyth, and
Jahari Jones finished off the track events taking third place in the 4x400m relay (3:24.73).
For the field events on day two, things kicked off with the Discus which had three Vikings capturing points.
Dawson Livingston was the top Viking finisher third and
Joseph Rampey andÂ
David Attaochu went fifth and eighth.
Livingston and Rampey carried that over to the shot put to go second and third and added in
Tonny Garcia in fifth and
Bryson Hill in eighth. Rampey had a clutch throw in the 6th round to PR by over a foot.
