Mount Berry, Ga. – Head Track and Field Coach Luke Syverson is proud to announce the appointment of Mason Robinson as the new Assistant Track & Field Coach. A former record-setting athlete for the Vikings, Robinson returns to his alma mater with a deep understanding of what it means to "Be Berry" and a passion for mentoring student-athletes.
After transferring to Berry from Division 1 Western Carolina University in his sophomore year, Robinson was an 10-time Southern Athletic Association (SAA) honoree and twice earned SAA Field Athlete of the Year honors. Robinson earned USTFCCCA All Region honors both Indoor and Outdoor and SAA All-Academic awards during his time as a Viking. He was also a member of three SAA Championship teams and played a pivotal role in elevating the competitiveness of Berry's throwing program.
In his new role, Robinson will assist Head Coach Luke Syverson in coaching throwing events as well as contributing to recruiting, operations, and athlete development across the program. Coach Syverson will transition to overseeing the Sprinting and Jumping event groups while continuing to coach the Vaulters and Hurdlers.

Mason brings a unique set of skills that range from a strong family background that is rooted in Berry and the sport of track and field. His expertise on the field and his familiarity with the school distinguishes him as he will make an instant impact on throwing athletes in 2025-2026.
