SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Vikings Outdoor Track and Field teams took some competitors to Sewanee this afternoon to compete on the SAA Championship stage.

Men's Highlights:

• The 4x100m team consisting of Jahari Jones, Dylan Davis, Jaden Melville, and Josh Rogers took first place with a time of 41.94
• Jones, Melville, and Davis went 1-4-8 in the 100m at 10.68, 11.11, and 11.23
• Marcus Wilson placed second in the 400 Hurdles at 56.27 
• In the 800m, Ethan Smith and Peter Ivester finished fourth and fifth
• Dawson Livingston claimed first in the hammer throw (51.76m) and teammate Joseph Rampey took fourth at 40.45m. The two also went 5-6 in the shot put with Rampey leading the way 
• In the discus, Livingston finished fifth with a mark of 44.26m

Women's Highlights:

• Four Vikings had top eight spots in the hammer with Malysha Winston taking third (44.85m), Sofia Henderson in fourth (42.44m, a new PR) and Sadie Phillips and Avery Jones finishing seventh and eighth
• Avery Jones was second in the shot put (12.39m) with Winston in fifth
• In the Javelin, Sadie Phillips finish second with her throw of 35.75m which was a new PR
• In the discus, Vikings went 5-7-9 with Sofia Henderson, Sophia Hughes and Winston
• Ella Pine had a top five finish as she went fourth in the pole vault at a mark of 3.10m
• Senior Courtney Jones was the top finisher in the long jump at 5.07m and finished seventh in the triple jump

The Vikings track teams now gear up for the SAA Championships in Sewanee, Tennessee, on April 25-26.
