SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Berry women's soccer team traveled to Sewanee to take on the Tigers in a Sunday afternoon matchup. The Vikings ended in a 1-1 draw against the Tigers. This moves the Vikings to 7-4-4 overall and 1-2-3 in conference play.
The first half did not have much action for the Vikings offensively with them only recording four shots throughout the half. Kate hill totaled three saves during the first half of play with the score staying at 0-0 going into the second half.
The score did not remain tied for long as the Vikings were able to get on the board early in the second half. In the 53rd minute,
Nicole Knight put the Vikings ahead after the initial shot by
Ide Strickland was deflected towards Knight's way for another opportunity. Sewanee went on to tie the game up four minutes later at 1-1 from a corner kick. The rest of the second half was controlled by the Tigers offense until time ran out. The Vikings' few opportunities at the opposing goal were quickly shut down by the Tigers defense.
The Vikings wrap up the regular season in a home matchup next Saturday, Nov 1st against Oglethorpe University.
