SAVANNAH, Ga. - In the top tournament, the Vikings currently sit tied for sixth as play today has been paused due to darkness and will resume tomorrow at 8:10 AM and the B Team is tied for third in the Port City Classic.
The Savannah Invitational:
Berry is currently tied with SAA opponent Oglethorpe, both teams shooting two under par with three of Berry's five players being freshman.
Leading round one was
Cam Baker with a score of 70 (-2) across his first 18 holes, he is currently tied for 11th overall individually. Baker also led the team with four birdies and has five more holes to complete round two.
Noah Farland andÂ
Tyler Wengronowitz both sit at one under par with a score of 71 and the Vikings round of with
Jay Sanders shooting 73 (+1) andÂ
Kevin Verrill at 75 (+3).
All Vikings will start at hole 14 tomorrow to complete round two and then take on round three trying to catch first place opponent Emory and take down SAA opponent Oglethorpe and Sewanee.
The Port City Classic:
Berry sits behind Carnegie Melon and ahead of Wabash across almost two rounds on day one.
Leading the team is
Andrew Garger with a score of 73 with five birdies.Â
Behind him is
Luke Ommen and
Charles Kyle scoring 73 and 75 respectively.
Halsey Bosart and
Landon Painter round of the top five for the Vikings at Port City, both shooting under 80.
