KANNAPOLIS, NC - The Vikings stormed game two with their second win the D3 College Showcase, this time over Susquehanna, 8-4 to take their record to 6-2 overall.
Aubrey Moraitakis earned the start on the mound for the Vikings but it was
Nicholas Angelakos who claimed the win with only giving up two hits and one run in his three innings pitched.
Berry had a field day on the starting Susquehanna pitcher with eight hits and three runs. However, it was Susquehanna who hopped on the board in the first inning, forcing the Vikings to tie it in the second at 1-1.
A big fourth inning lifted Berry over their opponent with four runs scored and two more following in the eighth.
At the plate for the Vikings, designated hitter,
Nick Brunswick went 3-5, with a run and an RBI, and shortstop Garrett Land went 2-4 with a run and an RBI himself.
Berry held strong and took advantage of the three errors from Susquehanna to remain 2-0 in North Carolina.
The Vikings finalize the D3 College Showcase tomorrow against the University of Rochester at 9:00 AM.
