MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - In their first SAA home game of the season, the Vikings took on the Colonels in a 90-minute battle that ended in a 0-0 draw at Bob Pearson Field.
On their Pack the House night, the stands were covered in white to support the Vikings in this tough matchup. Despite Berry out shooting Centre 10-3 and forcing sevens saves from Centre goalkeeper Grayson Parish, the Vikings were unable to find the back of the net.
Their closest attempt came in the final 5 seconds with a shot that Parish barely saved to keep the draw.
The Vikings dominated possession and created multiple scoring opportunities, particularly in the second hlaf, where they had six shots compared to Centre's three.Â
Tracy Moon led the offensive efforts for Berry, recording three shots, two of which were on target. Berry also had seven corner kicks but could not convert those chances into goals.
Goalkeeper
Cooper Cherry anchored the Vikings' defense, making two critical saves to preserve the clean slate.Â
Berry will be back in action next week at Huntingdon College for their final non-conference match of the season. Game time is set for 5:00 PM ET in Montgomery, Alabama.
