Berry's women's tennis team swept the doubles portion of the competition, then held off a furious rally in singles to defeat Gettysburg, 5-4, in action from Hilton Head, S.C., Thursday afternoon.

The Vikings got their largest margin of victory in the doubles portion at the No. 2 line when Sakura Manning and Lacey Craig earned an 8-1 victory. Craig would also come up big in the singles competition, rallying to win in a super tiebreak 10-4 in the third.

Juliana Mascagni also came up big for the Vikings. after dropping the first set, Mascagni came back to take the second set 6-3, then won the tiebreak 10-6. The two singles wins from Craig and Mascagni would be the difference in the match.

Berry will be back in action Friday against New Jersey City University in Hilton Head at Noon.
