Conway, Arkansas – The No. 13 Berry softball team defeated took three games of the four-game series in their last road outing of the regular season over the weekend.

The Vikings dropped game one, 10-2, following an impressive first inning from the Warriors who put up five runs to jump out to a 5-0 lead. Adding four more in the fourth secured the 10-2 win for Hendrix.

Meredith Holland got the start and was dealt her second loss of the season. Aleeya Thornton and Riley Jackson led the Vikings in hits with two.

The bats came alive in game two and continued that way for the remainder of the weekend. Outhitting the Warriors 20-4 in game two, the Vikings bounced in a dominant fashion, winning 20-1 in five innings.

Madison got the start and her ninth win, pitching four innings and striking out two. Abbey Gamble came in for relief in the final inning, giving up zero hits and zero runs. Shelby Daniel, Niki Peters and Bayleigh Masterson each had three hits for the Vikings, with Samantha Crabtree, Anna Jackson and Hannan Razeq adding two each.
