Danville, KY – The Berry College men's basketball team dropped their first game of the season on Friday night to Centre, 72-68.
Centre's Dawson Crump proved to be too much for Berry to handle as he scored 32 points, pulled down seven rebounds and had two steals.
For the Vikings, four players scored in double digits, including
Austin Brooks with 16,
Chase Ellis with 15 and
Michael Johnson and
Drew Jones each with 11 apiece.
The Vikings trailed by seven at halftime and was able to get their first lead of the game midway through the second half following a jumper from Ellis, but Centre's strong offensive outing eventually put the Colonels on top.
