Danville, KY – The men's basketball team came out and dominated Center 82-56 on Saturday afternoon.
After falling just short to Centre the night before, the Vikings came out strong on both offense and defense Saturday, shooting 50 percent from the field and outrebounding the Colonels 36-27.
DJ Estes led all scorers with 22 points, with
Austin Brooks contributing 17 and
Drew Jones 12.
Chase Ellis led the Vikings in rebounds with six.
"I thought Friday night was a wake up call for us," said head coach
Mitch Cole. "We weren't focused and alert enough to compete at a championship level, which is what you need to do at Centre. We made some adjustments and our guys showed maturity in bouncing back today. I was proud of the way we learned from a tough loss and turned it into a positive in game two."
Berry led by just three at the half, but scored 53 points (shooting 67.07 percent) in the second to top Centre 82-56.
