Box Score ROME, Ga. — The Berry College men's basketball team shot just 23.3% in the second half on Sunday afternoon, falling to the Sewanee Tigers 63-53. With the loss, Berry slips to 16-8 overall and 7-6 in league play.
Sewanee improved to 12-12 and 6-7 in conference. Berry has just one more regular-season conference matchup to secure a top-four seed and hosting rights in the opening round of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) tournament.
Caleb Haynes led, scoring 16 points on 7-for-10 shooting. As a team, the Vikings connected on just 33.3% of their shots and 16.0% of three-point attempts. Sewanee shot a solid 46.5% from the floor. The Vikings dominated on the boards, out-rebounding the Tigers 44-27.
Berry returns home on Saturday to face Oglethorpe on senior day.
