Box Score ROME, Ga. — The Berry College women's basketball team connected on just three shots in the fourth quarter, falling to the Centre Colonels 49-44 on Friday night.
With the loss, the Vikings slip to 11-12 overall and 5-7 in league play. Centre improved to 14-9 and 8-4 in conference.
Madeline Sandman led the way with 11 points. McKenzie Smith followed with seven points and 11 rebounds. As a team, the Vikings shot 30.2% from the field while Centre connected on a 41.9% clip. Berry led by four heading into the fourth quarter, but the Colonels outscored Berry 17-8 to secure the win.
Berry returns home on Sunday to host Sewanee at 1:00 p.m.
