DANVILLE, Ky. — Madeline Sandman scored a season-high 20 points, but the Berry women's basketball team dropped a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) matchup at Centre 77-61.

With the loss, Berry drops to 7-8 on the year and 1-3 in conference play. Centre improved to 8-6 and 2-2 in league competition. 

Sandman led three Vikings who scored double-digits including McKenzie Smith who added a 14-point double-double and Jana Morning who scored 12. As a team, the Vikings shot 24.4% from the field but struggled from distance connecting on just 25.0% of three-point attempts. Centre was nearly unstoppable from three-point range, connecting on 13 long balls at a 59.1% clip. 

Berry closes the SAA weekend at Sewanee on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
