ATLANTA — The Berry College men's basketball team claimed its first conference win of the season on Saturday, earning a 67-56 victory over Oglethorpe University. With the win, Berry improves to 6-2 overall.

Three Vikings scored double-digits including Caleb Haynes who added a 14-rebound double-double. Micah Johnson led with 16 points and Drew Jones contributed 15. As a team, the Vikings shot 41.4% from the field.

The team trailed 33-29 at the break due to just a 16.7% three-point percentage in the opening half. The Vikings were also just 1-for-8 in the opening period, but shot 84.6% in the second half to secure the win. 

Berry returns to action on Dec. 14 against Belhaven in Memphis, Tenn.
