MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Vikings outscored the Colonels, 43-28, in the final half, but the Berry College men's basketball team's comeback fell short as the Vikings fell to Centre College 85-69 on Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Centre led, 57-26, at the end of the first half, but the Vikings came out of the half firing as they would outscore Centre 43-28 in the second period behind the play of Cole DenBesten and Cory Johnson.
- The Colonels shot 46.9-percent (23-of-49) to the Vikings' 45.1-percent (23-of-51).
- The Vikings led the game in steals behind Lukas Korn who had three takeaways.
- Berry answered Centre's first-half three-point shooting by holding them to just 23.5 percent from beyond the arc in the second half.
