BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Vikings men's basketball team fell to the Birmingham Southern Panthers 76-83 in overtime despite Cole DenBesten's 3-pointer to tie the game late in regulation play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Cole DenBesten scored 18 points in the opening period, leading the Vikings to a 31-29 lead at the half.
• Birmingham Southern capitalized on turnovers, scoring 22 points on Berry's 21 turnovers.
• Cole DenBesten rung a 3-pointer with eight seconds left in regulation play to tie the game, leading Berry into overtime.
• The Vikings were outscored in overtime by the Panther's 14 points off of free throws.
