JACKSON, Miss. - The Vikings men's basketball team held on for a 46-45 win at Millsaps on Friday night, earning their first Southern Athletic Association (SAA) victory of the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Tanner Spalding paced Berry to a strong first half, outscoring the Majors 25-18 in the opening period.
• The Vikings led in rebounding (42-33) and posted 26 points in the paint.
• Berry's bench players continue to contribute, posting 34 in the outing.
• The Vikings were outscored 27-21 in the second half, but held on late to seal the win.
