ATLANTA – McCarty Forte scored a season-high 17 points as the Berry College men's basketball team fell to Emory University 91-80 on Thursday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Vikings led 35-32 going into halftime.
- The Eagles then added 59 points to Berry's 45 in the final period, ensuring the victory.
- Emory shot 46-percent (29-of-63) to Berry's 45.5-percent (25-of-55).
- The Vikings led the game in rebounds (37-25), while the Eagles led in assists (23-13) and steals (7-5).
- Berry was solid statistically, but was unable to slow Emory's Adam Gigax who posted 36 in the outing.
