Box Score ROME, Ga. -- Caleb Johnson scored a game-high 21 points, but visiting Sewanee defeated the Vikings, 80-65, on Sunday afternoon.
The Vikings dropped to 7-11 and 4-4 in the Southern Athletic Association. The Tigers improved to 13-6 and 6-2 in the SAA.
Johnson was 8-of-21 shooting and converted two 3-points baskets. Teammate Blake Scherrman contributed 14 points for BC. He was 6-of-19 from the field and made two 3-pointers.
Sewanee's entire starting lineup scored in double-digits. Cody Jones led the way with 18 points.
The Tigers shot 54-percent (25-46) to Berry's 34-percent (24-70). Sewanee won the battle of the boards, 48-28. Brody Stone grabbed 15 rebounds for the visitors.
Berry forced 27 turnovers and had just 14 miscues. Sewanee made 22-of-30 free throws to BC's 10-of-20.
The Vikings trailed at halftime, 36-25.
Berry hosts Henddrix College on Friday night. Tipoff is 8 p.m. at the Cage Center.
