ATLANTA, Ga. -- Lukas Korn blocked Chris Lawrence's three-point shot attempt with two seconds to go as the Berry College men's basketball team defeated Oglethorpe University, 76-73, on Saturday night.

The Vikings swept the season series with the win, improving their record to 5-8 overall and 3-1 in the Southern Athletic Association. The loss dropped the Stormy Petrels to 6-8 and 1-3.

Caleb Johnson led the BC offense with a team-high 29 points. Johnson was 13-of-20 shooting, sank one three-pointer, and was 2-of-4 from the free throw line.

Owen Jacobs and Blake Scherrman also added double-digit points in the win.

The SAA match-up saw 11 lead changes. Berry led 34-29 at the half.

Two made free throws from Johnson put BC ahead, 76-73, with seven seconds left in the game.

Oglethorpe's Lawrence looked to tie the game with a three-point shot in the final two seconds, but Korn sealed the Berry win with a block to end the contest.

"I'm proud of the way our guys showed poise down the stretch," said Berry Head Coach Jeff Rogers. "It was a very close game in a hostile environment."

For the Stormy Petrels, Justin Edwards scored 23 points. Edwards was 9-of-14 shooting, as well as 5-for-5 from the free throw line. Lawrence added 22 points in the loss as well. He was 7-of-12 from the field, shooting 6-of-11 from the three-point line.

Berry shot 53.4-percent (31-of-58) to Oglethorpe's 50.9-percent (27-of-53). The Vikings also led the game in rebounds (36-22), while the Stormy Petrels led the game in steals (6-3) and blocks (4-2).
