BC men's basketball falls at BSC

Birmingham, Ala. - - Despite four players' double digit point contributions, the Berry College men's basketball team fell to Birmingham Southern College on Friday night, 109-94.

The loss dropped the Vikings to 4-11 overall and 0-5 in the Southern Athletic Association. The win improved the Panthers to 11-5 and 3-2.

Led by Lukas Korn's season-high 16 points on the night, BC put up a fight against the Panthers and were down only, 55-43, going into halftime. 

Korn was 5-8 shooting, as well as 6-9 from the free throw line. He also collected five rebounds for the Vikings in the lost.

Three other Vikings posted double digits on the night: Nick Marder, Tyler Harville, and Brandon Park. Marder scored 13 points and was 6-7 from the free throw line. He was also 3-7 shooting. Harville also scored 13 points in the loss. He was 4-7 shooting as well as 3-4 from beyond the three point line. Park was 3-4 shooting, and he also sunk two three pointers in the loss, scoring 11 points for the Vikings.

For the Panthers, Larry Thomas scored 21 points. Thomas was 5-9 shooting and a perfect 9-9 from the free throw line. He also collected six rebounds and made two three point shots.

The Vikings will take on Millsaps College in their next game on Sunday, January 25, in Jackson, Mississippi at 4 p.m.​
