Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Berry College men's basketball team lost at Rhodes College, 67-47, on Friday night. Jonathan Abrams scored a game-best 21 points for Berry.
Rhodes improved to 14-8, and 9-2 in the Southern Athletic Association. Berry dropped to 4-18 and 1-10.
Abrams was 8-17 from the field and converted three 3-point baskets in the game. Lake Graham pulled in 11 rebounds (a game-high) and scored six points.
The Lynx held a 31-25 edge at halftime. For the game, Rhodes shot 50-percent (27-50) to Berry's 36-percent (18-50). The Vikings committed 18 and forced 12 turnovers.
Ryan Van Hoeck tallied 14 points on 7-7 shooting to lead Rhodes.
"We struggled on offense tonight, but Rhodes is the best defensive team in our league," said Interim Head Coach Derek Taylor. "The good news is our guys played hard on defense and busted their tails for 40 minutes."
Berry travels to Conway, Ark. to face Hendrix on Sunday. Game time is 4 p.m. EST.
