Oglethorpe Defeats Vikings 93-56 Tuesday

Berry guard Nasser Almulla scored a team high 17 points, but Oglethorpe defeated the Vikings 93-56 in a men's basketball game in Atlanta Tuesday evening.

Berry's Lake Graham scored the game's first basket 22 seconds into the contest, but the Stormy Petrels followed with a 12-0 run over the next 3:22 and never looked back.

Almulla also grabbed four rebounds and dished out four assists. He was one of three Berry players to score in double figures. Graham added 13 points and Michael Schulte chipped in 10. 

Cody Marsh led the Vikings (0-12) with five rebounds.

Andrew Steioff led Oglethorpe (5-7) with a game high 18 points. Branden Jovaag scored 15 points, Tyler Courson finished with 11 and Alex Davis added 11 for the Stormy Petrels, who shot a whopping 64 percent (21-for-33) from the field in the first half. 

Oglethorpe finished the game with a 51 percent (37-for-72) shooting percentage. Berry shot 40 percent (21-for-52) in the contest.

The Vikings are scheduled to return to action Sunday, when they host Piedmont at 4 p.m., at the Cage Center.
