Brittany Coughlan led Berry with 17 points, but LaGrange defeated the Lady Vikings 88-68 Wednesday evening in LaGrange, Ga.

Neither team shot particularly well in the game, as LaGrange's 39.7 percent (31-for-78) was just slightly better than Berry's 33.3 percent (22-for-66).  However, the Panthers racked up 18 more rebounds in the game, 57-39, including 19 offensive boards.

Alexa Evans joined Coughlan in double figures for Berry with 12 points.  Carol Lampley finished with eight points and eight rebounds.

Katie Covington scored a game high 27 points for LaGrange, and teammate Heather Miller added 12.

LaGrange improved to 12-1 on the season with the victory, while the Lady Vikings dropped to 6-9.

Berry returns to action Friday night against Rust College at 6 p.m., at the Cage Center.
