Carol Lampley scored a game high 19 points and hauled down 11 rebounds as Berry defeated Oglethorpe 65-56 Friday in Atlanta.
Oglethorpe held a 33-31 advantage at halftime, but Berry took the lead when Erica Crumley nailed a 3-pointer to make the score 38-36 with 17:50 and never looked back. Still, the game remained close for the rest of the contest, with the Lady Vikings' lead never growing to more than nine points.
Crumley also recorded a double-double for the Lady Vikings (4-5) with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Brittany Coughlan scored 14 points and Holly Compton added 11 points, six rebounds and four assists.
Kelley Reeves led Oglethorpe (2-5) with 16 points, while Katie Weeks chipped in 13 for the Stormy Petrels. OU's Ky'Laine Rogers tied Crumley for game-high honors with 12 rebounds.
Berry is scheduled to return to action Dec. 29 against Bethel at the Land of Magic Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla.
