Erica Crumley and Kendall Davis led three Berry players in double figures with 12 points apiece, but the Lady Vikings were defeated 73-60 by host Centre College at the Country Hearth Inn/Lee's Famous Recipe Classic in Danville, Ky., Saturday.

The teams went into the intermission tied 28-28, the eighth tie of the first 20 minutes. After Centre and Berry traded buckets to start the second half, Centre went on a 7-0 run and never looked back.

Crumley and Davis were joined in double figures by teammate Carol Lampley, who scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds.  Kelly Hastings hauled down a team-high 10 boards for the Lady Vikings (1-1).

Centre's Maggie Prewitt scored a game-high 23 points, while teammate Lauren Huter added 18 and Angela Tronzo chipped in 11.  Huter led all players with 11 rebounds.

Berry is scheduled to return to action Tuesday at Covenant.
