Carroll, Herman Qualify for Nationals as Cross Country Closes Regional Meet

ROME, Ga. — The Berry College men's and women's cross country teams hosted the South/Southeast Regional Championship this afternoon, sending both Abby Carroll and Meredith Herman to NCAA Nationals with fourth and sixth place finishes, respectively.

Berry's women's team finished fifth out of 32 total teams while the men earned 10th out of 33 programs. Both Carroll and Herman earned All-Region honors.

This is Carroll's second-straight trip to NCAA Nationals and will be Herman's first. This is also the second straight season the Berry has send two competitors to the national meet from the women's team.

Carroll's fourth place finish led the women followed by Herman. Bethany Terpin was the next Vikings finisher, placing inside the top-40.

The men were paced by Will Knowlton who placed inside the top-25. Parker Roberts also placed inside the top-50.
