No. 4 Volleyball Rallies for Reverse Sweep of Heidelberg

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — The No. 4 Berry College volleyball team fell behind 2-0 against Heidelberg on Friday night, but claimed the final three sets to open the Wittenberg Fall Classic with a 3-2 victory. The Vikings are now 7-1 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Emily Hancock, Carson VanCampen and Peyton Breissinger led the Berry offense with VanCampen and Breissinger claiming 14 kills with 15 from Hancock. Emily Rapach earned 34 assists. 
  • The Vikings attack couldn't find its footing in the opening set, falling 25-16 and hitting just .073. 
  • Heidelberg claimed set two 26-24.
  • Berry's blocking game stepped up in the final three sets as the Vikings earned nine total blocks for the match.
