ROME, Ga. — The Berry College women's soccer team dropped a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) matchup on Sunday afternoon to Birmingham-Southern College 2-0 to fall to 6-5-2 overall and 1-2-1 in league play.
BSC improved to 8-3-2 and 3-0-1 in conference play. The Panthers went ahead early, scoring in the third minute of play off the boot of Gabby Bernal. Berry held the Panthers attack in check until the 70th minute when Lettie Lundy scored to put BSC up 2-0. Berry out-shot the Panthers 13-8, but only put three shots on target. BSC held the advantage with six corner kicks to Berry's four.
The team recognized lone senior Carmen Angel piror to the match. Berry returns to action on Oct. 18 at Hendrix.
