Women's Soccer Falls to DIII Powerhouse Centre on Mountain Day

ROME, Ga. — The Berry College women's soccer team fell to No. 9 Centre College 1-0 on Saturday afternoon, falling to 5-3-2 overall and 0-1-1 in SAA play.

The Vikings defense played well against a team that scored multiple goals in 11 of its 12 wins coming into today. Centre was unable to score until the 37th minute to hold the 1-0 advantage. The Colonels fired 21 total shots to Berry's 4. The Vikings keepers combined for seven saves. Berry's Kirbi Mathews had a beautiful shot in the 78th minute that just found the crossbar. The chance was Berry's final of the match. 

Berry will host Emory on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
