JACKSON, Miss. — The Berry College women’s soccer team beat Millsaps College 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in overtime courtesy of a game-winning goal from sophomore forward Olivia Nye.
With the win, the Vikings are now 6-4-2 overall and 2-1-1 in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Vikings fired 28 total shots during regulation, holding the Majors to just four.
- Berry used 10 corner kicks to put 10 shots on goal, but Alyssa McCarron of Millsaps earned nine saves to keep Berry scoreless.
- Nye's goal came in the 94th minute, giving the Vikings their sixth win of the season.
- Alyssa Stevens only faced three shots on goal, saving each one.
