Stevens Earns First Career SAA Defensive Player of the Week Honor

ATLANTA — Berry College's Alyssa Stevens has been selected as the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career. 

Stevens led the Berry College women's soccer team to a 3-0 week of play. She recorded 180:00 minutes in goal in two matches, recording three saves and allowing just one goal.

Stevens opened the week with a complete-game shutout against Covenant, recording three saves in the outing. She then allowed just a single goal against Sewanee, helping Berry to a 4-1 victory.

For the season, she is second in the SAA with a 0.48 GAA and is tied for the league-lead with an .833 save percentage.

Berry is back in action at Centre College on Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
