Delaney Edwards enters her first season with the Vikings after serving a year as an assistant coach for Carter Shaw in 2023-24 at Gordon College.
In her first year as assistant coach, Edwards made an instant impact on the program, helping the Vikings to their best start of the DIII era. Edwards also developed and coached four All-SAA players including the SAA Rookie of the Year, Briaiah Lewis.
Prior to Gordon she served as an assistant coach for Covenant College for two seasons.
Edwards was a four-year player on the women's basketball team at Bob Jones from 2018-22 and was a two-time NCCAA All-American for the Bruins. She scored over 1,000 career points with over 650 rebounds and 140 steals in her career at Bob Jones.
In her final year with Bob Jones in 2021-22, Edwards earned first team NCCAA All-American and led the Bruins to a NCCAA region championship. She led the team in scoring (16.6 points per game) and rebounding (6.8 rebounds per game) en route to All-American accolades.
Edwards earned a bachelor's degree in health science from Bob Jones in 2021 and master's degree in sports administration and coaching at Bob Jones in 2023.
