BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Berry College women's lacrosse team fell to the Birmingham-Southern Panthers 20-5 on Friday night in their final regular season contest of the year. Berry finishes with a 1-5 record in conference play.
The Panthers jumped out to a quick 5-0 advantage in the first 10 minutes of play before Miranda Smith found the first Berry goal of the evening off an assist from Keiley Ayers. Berry would score only once more in the opening period, trailing 11-2 at halftime.
The Vikings were able to score three in the second half off tallies from Ayera and Smith, but BSC scored nine more times to secure the win.
Ella Makin collected 13 saves in 53 minutes of work, facing 30 total shots on cage. Berry falls to 4-10 overall on the year and will await final seeding for the SAA tournament.
