ROME, Ga. – Ella Makin collected 14 saves in goal and Shadae Williams finished the night with a hat trick, but the Berry College women’s lacrosse team fell to Reinhardt 18-8 on Tuesday night in their last home matchup of the season.
The Eagles’ Katie Williams and Berry’s Keiley Ayers traded goals in the first five minutes of play, leaving the game tied 1-1. However, Reinhardt then outscored the Vikings 9-1 in the remaining 25 minutes of play, leading 10-2 at halftime.
The Eagles then added eight-second half goals, ensuring the 18-4 victory. On the night, Reinhardt led the matchup in shots (38-20), draw controls (14-10), ground balls (36-23) and clears (15-10).
Ella Makin (4-8) took the loss in goal for Berry, collecting 14 saves in her 49:50 of work. Erin Banjamin (2-0) earned the complete-game win in goal, collecting eight saves in the contest.

The Vikings will travel to Birmingham, Ala., to take on the Panthers of Birmingham-Southern College in their next game on Saturday, April 14 at 3:00 p.m.
