Women's Lacrosse Topped by Piedmont 17-7

DEMOREST, Ga. - Keiley Ayers finished the night with a hat trick, but the Berry College women’s lacrosse team fell to Piedmont College 17-7 on Tuesday evening.
The Lions opened up the game with five goals in the first half, while the Vikings tallied twice in the first 30 minutes of work. Piedmont then solidified the win with 12 second half goals, ensuring the 17-7 victory. 
Ayers’ three goals led Berry, with four other Vikings adding one tally in the contest. Ella Makin also finished the night with 13 saves in goal for Berry, as the Vikings moved to 4-7 overall on the season. 
On the night, Berry finished the game with 16 shots, 16 ground balls, 13 draw controls and eight clears. The Lions finished the matchup with 36 shots, 12 draw controls, 26 ground balls and 13 clears.
