Women's Golf Finishes Two Strokes Shy of First at MCC Tournament

MONTGOMERY, Ala.Jorie Hodapp shot a +5, 151 (78, 73) two-day total to finish tied for second at the MCC Intercollegiate Invitational on Monday, leading the Berry College women's golf team to a close second place overall finish. Berry also shot a program record 301 (+9) day two total. 

Tori Ramirez's +6, 152 (77, 75) and Loren Kim's +9, 155 (82, 73) rounded out top ten scoring for Berry, finishing tied for fourth and seventh, respectively. The Vikings rounded out play with a +35, 619 (318, 301) team total. Sewanee's +33, 617 (307, 317) finished competition with both the individual and team titles in hand, led by Meghan Symonds' +2, 148 (75, 73) first place title.

This is the second consecutive top five finish for Berry. The Vikings also placed three in the top 7 and two tied for the low rounds of the tournament at even par (73)

The Vikings will compete in the Golfweek Preview at the Baytowne Golf Course in Sandestin, Fla., beginning on Sunday, Oct. 15.
