LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Berry College's Katlin Seger earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region second-team honors, the organization announced on Wednesday.
A total of 364 players earned honors this year. All-Region players are nominated and selected by NFCA member coaches in each of the eight Division III regions. First team All-Region choices are eligible for selection to the NFCA All-America team, which will be announced the evening of May 22 online at NFCA.org and in person at the NCAA Division III Championship banquet in Tyler, Texas.
Seger, a senior from Kennesaw, Ga., earns her first All-Region nod after a dominant senior campaign. She claimed Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Player of the Year honors, her first All-Conference honor of her career. She closed the season ranking top-10 in the SAA in nearly every offensive category including hits (59), RBIs (46) and batting average (.418). Her marks in hits and RBIs rank top-10 for a single-season in program history. She also has the third most home runs in program history (87) and ranks inside the top-five with 118 career RBIs.
