Men Fourth, Women Second at SAA Cross Country Championships

ROME, Ga. — The Berry College men's and women's cross country teams hosted the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Championships this afternoon, finishing fourth and second, respectively.

The men's race began under the cloak of heavy fog, with the Centre Colonels taking the top spot. Centre also took the women's crown. Cameron Bensley led the Berry College men's team with a fifth place finish. Freshman Bradshaw Lathbury, senior Parker Roberts and freshman Owen Jordan followed, also placing inside the top-20. Bensley earned an All-SAA first team honor for his fifth place finish. 

The women were led by Meredith Herman who earned a second place finish. Alyssa Fowler also earned All-SAA first team recognition alongside Herman with a fourth place spot. Ashleigh Meeker and Lillian Hamman rounded out the Vikings inside the top-20.
