Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA Academic Recognition

NEW ORLEANS — The Berry College men's and women's cross country teams earned All-Academic recognition from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced on Thursday. 

For a team to be considered for this honor, it must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional meet and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.10 on a 4.0 scale. Overall, there were 393 teams honored by the USTFCCCA, of which 215 were women's teams. The Vikings men's team earned a 3.30 GPA while the women posted a 3.33. 

Senior Will Knowlton, junior Parker Roberts and junior Alyssa Fowler also earned individual recognition from the USTFCCCA. In order to qualify for this honor, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and finish in the top 25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
